TOP 5: Slept on creps of 2019

Updated: Feb 20, 2020

It’s fair to say 2019 was an eventful year, with a lot of big moments happening throughout the year. So many fire collaborations dropped, a lot of general releases created a healthy amount of buzz throughout social media, and when it came to exclusives the releases was 🔥🔥

Anyway done talking! Here’s our TOP 5 slept on of 2019.

' A COLD WALL x Nike Air Force'

ree

A-Cold-Wall and Nike are now a few trainers deep when it comes to them collaborating and to keep it completely honest they have been 💩, up until now they have remixed Nike’s classic Air Force 1’s.

Created with Nike Eco-friendly fly-leather (parts of the Crep have leather fibre). ACW done well with the design of these Air Force 1’s, both the black & white versions standout for the right reasons! I don’t feel enough people give them credit on this release.

Look how people got gassed about the new Air Force 1 x Supreme and we all saw how uninspired that looked 🤦🏿‍♂️

'Airmax 720'

ree

Dubbed as the shoe of the future by GQ magazine, the Air Max 720’s made its debut in 2019 with the ‘Northern Lights‘. The 720 features a full-length version of Air unit from the 270, and these are without a doubt one of the most if not THE most comfortable Nike’s I have ever worn.

The Crep itself with its metallic sliver and navy colour combination brought back memories of one of the first 97’s I owned (before they re-released the line in 2017) I think Nikes innovative approach was wavy and is starting to payoff already.

People just need to put respect on where it all started!

'Air Max 97 Neon Seoul'

ree

The Air Max 97 ‘Neon Seoul’ was part of Nike’s on air collection, in which six local designers from around the world represented their respective cities: New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, and Shanghai.

Obviously these were chosen to represent Seoul in South Korea 🇰🇷. I’ve never been to Seoul or South Korea for that matter but a quick google image search and I could see it's a very vibrant city. The way the designer implemented all of that into the Crep and merging the flag colours as well, I felt like the hype it deserved wasn’t matched with the hype it attained.

' Air Max 97 Shanghai Kaleidoscope'

ree

This Air Max 97 Shanghai Kaleidoscope is sooo slept on, I feel like the sneaker community cared about it for a little bit when it released and then after that it was business as usual!

The sharp icy blue colours immediately catches the eye and sits well with the white outer sole with the red swoosh coming in the mix just to sauce it up a little more.

These released as part of the Nike on air competition. If you was able to grab them at launch then count yourself lucky, I know certain man are reading this now unaware they even releases. If you know, you know!

'Air Jordan 11 Retro White Metallic Sliver'

ree

The Air Jordan 11 ‘Metallic Sliver’ released late last year and stormed through to take the number one spot. In the UK Air Jordan’s 1‘s have been the talk of the town for the last few years but you can’t just neglect 11’s.

These come with a shimmering sliver around the mudguard with sliver sparkles to give it that finesse. Mandem if you’re a size 10 or above you've got hold this L as these Creps are another women’s exclusive.
